Things are more or less ready for Christmas. The tree is up, the boys Christmas gifts are bought, wrapped, and tormenting them under the tree. I need to pick up a couple of things for Jordon but from what I have been told, him and the boys are done shopping for me. It should be nice.
It will be a short Christmas season. Jordon and I are working on December 24th and December 26th. We are driving out to Warman on the 24th and then heading to the Reimers for Christmas dinner on the 25th. Then it will be back to work on Boxing Day. While it would be nice to have two days off over Christmas, it isn’t going to happen until a government gets in and legislates that stores remain closed on stat holidays and I don’t think that is going to happen. If labour could not get NDP governments in Saskatchewan do it, there is no way a Saskatchewan Party government is ever going to do it. You lose some and you lose some. At least I don’t have to work Christmas Day… yet.
I am not sure what else will be happening over Christmas. If it warms up at all, we will try to go out to the cabin over New Years. That being said, it looks like it could be really cold until well into 2014 so I expect we will be right here… freezing.
